Region 3 Area Councils

The Executive board is pleased to announce the formation of OPSEU Area Councils in Peterborough & Oshawa. Both Area Councils will join the Orillia Area Council ensuring we now have an Area Council in each service area of Region 3.
Area Councils play an important role within OPSEU. Area Councils are made up of only OPSEU locals within the service area. It gives OPSEU locals an opportunity to network and work together. Area councils are a submitting body for convention resolutions and constitution amendments, they can set policy for our Union.
Corporate OPSEU rebates 90% of their Area Council dues back to the local.
The Executive board would like to encourage locals to affiliate with your respective area councils.

CLC Winter School
Region 3 Presidents
The Region 3 Executive board is offering an opportunity for up to 5 members to attend CLC Winter School at Kempenfelt Conference Centre.

The region will cover the costs of the registration which includes shared accommodation, meals and course material. Time off, mileage will be the responsibility of the successful applicants.

Interested members should send an email to Sara, Gord or myself outlining which course they are interested in. Emails should be received by Dec 28/11. Successful applicants will be informed asap so they may submit their applications to CLC.
