Put Kids First

On Wednesday June 1 OPSEU CAS members across the province delivered the message that vulnerable children shall be considered first when it comes to meeting the requirements of child protection work. Pictured below, members from York CAS Local 304 gathered in front of their agencies to erect workload sculptures representing a key obstacle workers face in their mandate to “Put Kids First.” CAS workers are asking the government to commit to a sector-wide job protection, an independent workload study in consultation with frontline workers and a committee to review and recommend policies to end all forms of workplace violence.
